I'm still waiting to hear back from Nenad...Considering we have Lynn's approval I don't think its a big deal, but I asked him out of courtesy. If I dont hear back from him by the end of the weekend I'll let Lynn know.

My review of the mug A+
Ok I used my mug for the first time today and it is perfect for shaving absolutely perfect and here is why.
The height of the inside of the mug is great for all shaving brushes from 3" - 5". The major benefit of this mug is that it is narrow at the bottom and wide on top, this allows a lot of bristle movement with minimal hand movement (its ergonomically efficient) This also allows plenty of movement with a short brush even if your hand is below the lip of the mug and allows movement for a taller brush without banging the sides of the mug with the brush handle. The result is a concentrated wonderful lather in a space easily covered almost entirely by most brushes which helps built better lather, with less cream, and minimal movement.

Thanked: 369JL,
I'm glad to read that you approve of the mug! I ordered samples of these from the manufacturer, and tried one out myself for a month, before even considering decorating and selling them. I wouldn't sell somthing that I wouldn't be happy using myself.
I also found the mug to be very serviceable. In other words, I like them too. They were also the only mugs I could find, after an extensive search, that had that "classic" shaving mug look and feel.
Thank you for a great testimonial.

I never heard back from Nenad, but since the SRP mug idea is ok with Lynn, and there is obviously a strong interest for one, I am going to send scott the logo I have. The only thing that I ask is that mugs all be numbered, Lynn gets the first one, and only SRP members can receive the mugs (not that a non SRP member would have any interest, but still, its the principle of it)
At any rate, Scott please send pm me your email address again, and also PM Lynn about the mug options, as he already said he wanted one to me via PM.

Thanked: 0Very cool.
Likewise - I'm interested. Let me know what the price is when they're ready and we'll work out shipping (I'm in Canada, which may push shipping costs over my acceptable threshold).
Looks like great work!

I finally got a few mins to snap a pic tonight of the mug Scott did for me. I'm very pleased with it. It's hop cones surrounded by barley sheaves.

These look great and at a great price too!
One thing I was wondering though....I know the gold leafing is in line with the style/ageing, however is there a way to make it perhaps light blue or black? The reason I ask is, some soaps I microwave into the holders. This way the melt to size. I'd be concerned with the microwave going into 'agry mode' with the gold (if you have ever seen this, it's...interesting). Do you see this as being a problem with the mugs??
Thanks!
