One of my goals was to find a method of firing a photo onto a mug. These photo mugs were available from barber supply companies 100 years ago and the originals are very collectible. Here is an example of my results so far:

As you can see, this method produces a nice old fashioned sepia toned photo which is permanently fired onto the mug. Other decorative work can be applied as well (for example society/fraternal or military emblem, or a persons name, special date, etc, or any combination of these). In this case I just added gold trim, but there are many other options available. The photo I used came off of Google. I could use any photo to do this. It could be a photo of yourself, someone else to be given as a gift, or just about any image of anything that can be uploaded or scanned into a computer. If anyone would be interested in one, just let me know.

Still looking of a good photo of my dad and his dad...I'll know this week if I can get a good one scanned for his bday present.

Also, as long as Lynn approves I do have a great copy of the SRP logo if people do want SRP mugs. However, I wouldnt feel right giving it out unless Lynn said it was ok. The only reason I have it for the jackets.

    JL,

If you can, find a photo with a light colored background as this seems to work best. Also, when you scan it, scan at 300 dpi, greyscale, and no more than 2.5 inches in height as any larger won't fit on the mug. If you can't find a photo of the two together, consider two separate photos both fired together onto a mug.

An SRP mug would be great. Also, could you do my initials in Gothic font?

I'll ask Lynn if Scott can have permission to use the logo that I have.

    EdinLA44,

Yes, I can do your initials in gothic font and the SRP logo too (if approved of course).

I have Lynn's approval, I am just waiting on Nenad (it is his artwork). I think Lynn's one condition was that he gets to order a mug as well. I think that the mugs should be numbered and that Lynn's should be numbered 001 out of respect.

At any rate I will email the logo to Scott as soon as Nenad says its ok.

That's great news. I agree Lynn should get serial number 001. Honedright, just let us know when you're all set up to go. I'll PM you with the details when it's time.

Just send me your proposed design and I'll see what I can do with it. I'll make a sample and post pics.
