Donv those are pretty big suckers. What does a full grown badger weigh in at? I wouldn't want to come anywhere close to one of your catches.

What kind of dogs are they? One looks like a min pin. My jack Russell is sitting next to me drooling upset she wasn't able to help with the hunt.

In the UK and Europe Jack Russell's Lakeland Patterdale and Bedlington Terriers are the Ideal choice as earth dogs, I bred many Jack Russell's and working lakeland Terriers and hunted them as little rat pack inviting other owners to turn up where we knew there to be an healthy over population of rats, while using ferrets and other devices such as a two stroke engine with a pipe pushed down the hole and rev the little engine to flush them out.

Do you have a link to the U Tube video?
Any suggestions on how to keep the hairs together and lined up?
I thought I would try washing the badger's fir and then use a rubber band around a big bunch of fir and then shave it off?
    Is there a better method?
I live in the southern part of Idaho and there is a 20 mile stretch of freeway that has lots of road kill badgers. I see them all the time as I am going catfishing.
The catfishing here is about to go ballistic!
I camp out and bring an old woodframed mirror and an old strop to hang on a tree to use for shaving.
Snake River water heated with a Coleman gasoline stove and a dishpan and towel complete the setup.
Shaving outside at camp on a cool morning is an awsome experience!
Straight razor shaving, camping, fishing, cooking out, how can it get much better?

How about using two cable ties, as you can apply a huge amount of pressure as you tighten with each click.? Then with the first tie you can cut off any uneven hairs and create a perfect flat face ready to set the knot in some epoxy resin.

In Ontario the North American badger is considered an endangered species and is protected as such. Regulations vary province to province so you have to be careful what you do and in which jurisdiction you do it in with regard to hunting, trapping or possibly even possessing a North American badger. Always best to CYA.
