Some time ago badger knots have started appearing featuring the "hooked" tips. When dry they feel kind of scratchy, but when wet they are much softer than normally tipped knots. Some people thought they felt almost gel-like, so the gel-tips monicker has been coined. At first people paid more money for that, but I think now it's a lot more common. Not sure if it's processing or another kind of badger, but many of the TGN knots now have it. It's usually only visible after a washing or a few uses. Kind of like boar knots splitting at the tips.
Wherever you go, there you are.
