You bet your boots, and still, have another in my Rv maybe don't have more than you John, but they are my baby,s, and since he's not doing anymore, I've sure found a great guy to take over for him too! Got some Wallyeyeman ones too! I,m a brush maniac, like to match my razors to a brush. Tc

Certifyd #4 & #6
The finish is removed and they are ready for sanding. Might be maple can't tell yet. The #6 is 30mm with a handle bigger than all my others. I couldn't get the ferrel off the #4.
* I posted earlier that citra safe was safe on these old ferrels I was wrong. On surface did ok after wiping off a day later but the #4 had a gap under it's edge where I didn't realize there was an a build up and it melted the edge from underneath after a week of sitting. Aarrgh!!
I bridged the gap with cord that will become impregnated and seal it.

I picked these up recently, and would like to restore them to start my "brush addiction". Not exactly sure where to start.

Those look good the way they are. What do you want to restore?

A possibility.

Or I carefully cut bristles off and then even more carefully drilled out chunks. Some are easily picked out other have to be removed by dremel or like tool. I hold with my hand so if anything binds I can save it. In a vise device it will fracture.Shave the Lather...

How is the balance on the brass one?[/QUOTE]
It is a little on the small side, it looked bigger in the pic. when I bought it.

Cool find JAK! Im not versed enough in the art of brush handling/critique/creation to comment indepth, but the brass brushes Ive made in the past were in my opinion very stylish, though they were a bit heavy. Being that your brass brush is smaller perhaps it is not too heavy.
Really do love brass!“You must unlearn what you have learned.”
