I think the alternative is glossy and shiny. I like the look opposed to that!

As it is, beckons me to touch it (Hint!) to feel the laminations.
I dig textures.
Think it might feel pretty comfy in-hand?

Hmmm....anyone ever take a Louisville slugger handle and make a brush handle out of it? I guess you'd have to take it up far enough to where it is wide enough for the knot to fit. But could be cool.
