Now people are going to go shooting trees to make brush handles out of.
I worked on my dads saw mill and although not common i wouldn't consider it rare to find a bullet in a board.
For many years I have watched an ax handle sticking out of a tree. It was left there years before I found it because I never saw the head. The handle finally rotted off and unless you knew the tree you would never know.

Thanked: 247It's here.
It is certainly an interesting piece. What is not visible in the photos (and I doubt I could capture it to show), are two other fragments. Who knows how many more are in this thing? I find it amazing that three were exposed during finishing.
Anyway, the finish on this cast off is quite stunning. I will be keeping my eyes peeled for more of your work
