What if we have just a single item to sell and aren't looking to sell on a regular basis?

    So.. Paypal fees...

is it normal to offer Paypay F&F as a payment method instead of Paypal G&S?
i can see how this can affect the price of a razor, specially the ones with high prices. and specially if the razor is offered in the low end of it's market price...
i have received payments of both types... sometimes s good, but sometimes sucks when paypal takes 5$ of fees, specially when your profit was in the 5$ range... or just when you are selling razors for the price you bought them in order to buy and try others.. and then you end getting less $ than you paid for the razor...

I can also see how as a buyer i would proffer to have G&S coverage as opposed to just F&F... and knowing that there are vendors that need to maintain their reputation high here in the community.. it is customary to pay using F&F? at least with the ones you see posting every now and then? or is it just not recommended?

and as a seller.. it it regarded badly if you specify that even when you are sending with tracking, your price is for Paypal F&F and that the buyer should cover paypal fees (about 4.5%) if they want to use paypal G&S?

sorry for my questions, while i'm not new in the community or as a buyer on the classifieds, i'm new to the "selling my razors" part...

From my understanding, it is up to the buyer and seller which to use, F&F or G&S.
I have personally used both buying here on the site from people I know.

As far as I know, and understand, the price of the item is the price paid. Unless specified in the ad that shipping, tracking or anything else is not included.
You may notice, some adds say, if sent internationally from the US shipping will have to be calculated and added.
The B/S/T is a place where we are honest and don't try to slide in "extra charges" and it's a bonus to the members here.

Hope that helps, and if I'm mistaken, I'm sure there will be a correction posted

thanks Dieseld, I agree with you... we all are honest, and like I said, i have posted always the price.. most of the folks just pay with F&F, but some pay with G&S... of course i have never charged for those fees...
I guess for some razors those fees can be absorbed by profits.. but for some razors the fees have an impact... however, it just does not seems right to charge extra $$ for those fees while there are folks willing to deal on a trust basis ...
and don't get me wrong, i think paypal is a great company that allows international money movements... so i think it's important to pay for their fees.. but sometimes, the members of the community are willing to trust each other...
just wondering for what's normal for you guys as sellers...

    thanks gain!!
