Currently not much, doing my degree I have a lot to read but have taken a break, will get back into it when next semester kicks off. It's a ministry degree so a lot of history, theology, hermeneutics, psychology, ethics. A few great authors/scholars of mine are N.T. Wright, Ben Witherington III, Miroslav Volf, Jacqui Grey and David Parker. Very balanced approach to Christianity, quite un-fundamental.
I know that religion is generally avoided and I am not trying to provoke anyone, simply saying what I have been reading.
One book I will pick up shortly is almost a handbook for skinning/gutting/preparing meats and other "old world" activities. Can't remember the title but I know where to find it.

Pulled out this old classic. Fascinating book on all levels.
Herman Melville's, "Moby Dick".
"To the last, I will grapple with thee... from Hell's heart, I stab at thee! For hate's sake, I spit my last breath at thee!"
Wow - and hear I thought that was a line I heard when watching, "Divorce Court"!
Or was it Star Trek, "The Wrath of Khan"?Last edited by Phrank; 06-27-2014 at 03:20 PM.

Thanked: 146Right now I am reading the Sano Ichiro series by Laura Joh Rowland. It is a 'detective' novel set in 1700's Japan during the last of the Tokugawa shogunate.
Before that I read the Masters of Rome series by Coleen McCullough.

Thanked: 8One Thousand Moustaches: A cultural history of the Mo by, Allan Peterkin
Just a fun light hearted read with some history and fun. I have worn a moustache over half my life, I began at 15 years of age; barely peach fuzz. I am now 37 and sculpt from a Dahli to an English to handlebar and even eccentric creations. This book is great, if you love the upper lip lettuce as I do !
