Yes and in my opinion that is one factor that makes it difficult to do business in the USA. You may name it ethics or morals but the rest of the world runs on grease. America does as well but in rarified circles that the common man ( barring nepotism) will never reach.

As I said before, you can trust a person who respects money over a illusionary power given him by a job title.

Police and government would do well to keep in mind that the only reason they are allowed to stay in the position given is the overall apathy of the citizenship. But upset the balance and things will change.

Problem is the film does not tell the whole story. We don’t know what the cops knew and why they stopped the two. Just like people are NOW asking how could the shooter get on a Navy base, “Why wasn’t everyone strip searched.”

And profiling is a good thing. It is just politically incorrect. Ask El Al airlines, you don’t hunt for tigers by looking for large cats without stripes.

If you think this is a corrupt Police State, go live in Mexico or almost most of the world.

Before you ask how the guy got on base ask how guys with boxcutters caused 9/11. Both questions make about as much sense and their implications will yield things many don't want.

Bottom line is, no matter what you do for a living… if someone followed you around with a video camera… edited film could get you fired or possibly arrested.

    It’s all about context.

Do you really thing there is a Bigfoot?

Why of course there is a bigfoot. As a matter of fact we had Mr Sasquatch living in our town with us for a couple of years and he's a very intelligent and erudite fellow. I can't begin to tell you all the improvements he made around the place. He only left because it pained him to live with a bunch of idiots as he used to say.

So, again, at what point does a civilian become justified in fighting back against an officer? What determines where the civilian ends and the police officer begins?
Here in Indiana there's a law to cover that, recently passed:
"INDIANAPOLIS | Gov. Mitch Daniels has signed a law explicitly authorizing Hoosiers to physically resist police if officers are breaking the law.

Senate Enrolled Act 1, approved by the Republican governor late Tuesday night, permits a person to use reasonable force against a public servant, including police officers, to protect themselves from injury caused by the imminent use of unlawful force, to prevent illegal entry into a home or vehicle, or stop the unlawful taking of a person's property."

The long version: Law allows Hoosiers to resist police acting illegally

In reality it's probably not a good idea. Just ask if you're being detained. If not, wish the police a good day and keep walking. If they say yes, ask for immediate articulation of cause. That's a legal right here too, and prevents them from constructing an excuse later.
