I also find it frustrating that when management makes a mistake that the rank and file have to pay the price to cover their 'derrieres' For example; The schedule is supposed to be posted by 6pm on Thursday, the schedule for this week wasn't posted until Saturday. I was to work produce @4am today (Sunday) but I was Scheduled to be a checker on until 11pm on Saturday. To 'fix it' management swapped shifts with someone who also works produce but was scheduled to check so I got 11 hours in between shifts. I have to work at 4am on Monday and I got off work at 6pm on Sunday so I'll have 10 hrs in between shifts.

If they would have had the schedule out on time they could have traded me with another checker on Saturday so I would have been off earlier but OOOOOOOOOHHHHHHH
    NOOOOOOOOOO!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
That sounds very complicated, why cant everyone just get a regular shift pattern? Even if it alternated over several weeks. How on earth do you arrange a life around that sort of disorganisation?

That's retail for ya Ed. They seem to do it like that globally! One industry I don't miss being a part of any more.
