We got blasted as well....this city has too many people who have no idea how to drive in the snow, sheesh, let alone the rain...full stop parking lot driving conditions.

Winter tires went on the wife's CUV in November 1st and Snow Tires on mine....surprisingly, they really make a difference as I watch cars skidding along and can't make it up easy inclines.....

Do those Christmas lights prevent Ice dams?

Snowy' s and all wheel drive on my car. I take the back country roads down to the city every morning to avoid all those nuts.

I went back to the old fashioned glass and filament bulbs a few years back and they actually do melt the snow on and near them, so they might help with ice dams. Luckily, I don't get them as the wind is pretty good at keeping the roofs clear.
That lather will be on my daughters hood in the morning.

Yes, I just saw that.
I have to sit on the porch during mail drop-off with a 8mm Mauser(need something that will stop an engine block), just to keep our packages from running off.

Porch Pirates should be Tazed on site....also, a great use for the Wrist Rocket sling shot...you just got to lead them a bit...look like they got stung by a huge Bee, drop the package and run.
