Thread: "Gentle On My Mind"

Went to breakfast with my son this morning at our favorite weekend spot. Left at 8:45 to check for yard sales on the way home,,, found 3 of them,, nothing at all on the first two,, didn't even get out of the car.
Drove up to the third one & saw a large amount of DVD's/CD's on a table. So we got out & said hello to the owner, an older women & her teenage son. I looked toward the CD's & the young man proudly told me that they were all the "RAP" artists of the past 10 years. "All RAP?", I asked,,,,,,,,,,,,,"Yes, all Rap.", he replied.

If my legs were long enough, I would have kicked myself in the a$$ for getting out of the car. As I turned away, I saw a ray of sunlight,,,,, there among the RAP was a Glenn Campbell CD, All Time Favorite Hits from 1977, Capitol Records. I said, "Not all RAP son.",, pulling it out. He looked shocked & stated, "I wonder where that came from." I don't know, but I'll take it,,,,& I did for $1.00.

I plugged it into the DVD player as we headed home. I had not heard this song since the late 70's.
