Insight M6 LED Laser Tactical Weapon Light
I have this one mounted to a G-19 for home purposes; very reliable laser/light, costly & eats batteries like I eat M&M's,,,,I hear the newer models (this one is 8 years old) have brighter lights & easier on batteries
These are wall socket mounted emergency lights, cheap, rechargable , used often,,, the larger Coleman was $9.00 about 12 years ago, still works great,,,
It's hard to beat the Mini Mag Lite for durability, AA fed, water resistant & bright with the regular bulbs, not the LED's. The LED versions are fine, they last a lot longer, but not as bright.
This I bought to place on the table to hone with, it's O.K.,,,, bright enough, rechargable, portable & not hot,,, its called the Might D Light, at Wal Mart, about $25.00.

Actually,,,, one of my better deals was the "cheapest" & low tech lights. It was this Eveready LED flashlight that runs off 1 D cell battery,, they are less than $3.00 at Wal Mart,,, Ray o Vac has one too.
I did a "High Tech" experiment last year, where I used C & D cells in this same light, just in case you ran out of D cells,,,,
Just wrap the inner tube around the "C" cell & secure it with Electrical Resistance Tape, then insert & turn on,,,, both flashlights lasted over 72 hours,,, the "D" cell lasted a little longer. Feel free to use my experiment in any future science projects,,,,,
These lights are so cheap & give off enough light to see by, that I bought a couple to toss in the car.

I have had quite a few flashlights, but the two that come to mind are the Stanley tripod flashlights. I got them as a set on sale and never regretted getting them. One small and one large. I kept the large one in my vehicle and it came in handy a few times changing tires and working on the engine. The small one I kept in a drawer and had to use it a few times during power outages. Unfortunately someone stole the large one from my vehicle and the small one the batteries leaked and fused in the flashlight so I couldn't take them out. The large one you could use 3,6 or 9 batteries. I would use 3 and keep 3 in the other legs incase the others died.

All time favorite, used to be 50¢ Bought a bunch over the last few years. No weight and a lot of light.
Memory:
'Bought twenty years ago I went into a dingy schoolhouse antique store in Buda TX. I told the 300 lb. vender at the door that I was lookin'..... never finished the sentence!
He said "Have you got a flashlight?"
I said "no."
He said "Boy; you ain't lookin' youze hopin'!!!"
Since then i have always tried to have a flashlight with me and a big one in the car.

I just bought about 8 flashlights with batteries for 50 cents each at the local servo. 2 dolphin, and about 6 double d cell handhelds. I have no idea 2 hat I need them for but I know that they will come in useful.
