Its supposed to be a "tactical" feature. My kids like to use it for dance parties too.

It's really freakin' annoying. Even when I accidentally set it off it sets me off. I would not be able to use it in a "tactical" manner given how badly it bothers me even when I am behind the flashlight.

It can be disorienting, but honestly, full brightness in an attackers face is going to be far more effective than saying "Excuse me... I'm trying to remember how to start the strobe on this flash light, could you wait a second?"

The other "feature" is a morse code SOS... Who the heck, besides us old geezers, who dabble in ham radio, can read "morse code"?

    Regards

What kind of flashlight are you using? It may be possible to get rid of the strobe feature.

If you've gotten to the point where you need to use a small tactical flashlight as a last line of defense you may just as well use it to light up your butt and kiss it goodbye.

Now if your talking a honking big kel light now that's a different story. You can do some damage with that.

Finally upgraded to the Streamlight TLR-1 HL for my primary Pez Dispenser. I had been using the Insight Technology M6 laser/light. At the time many years ago, the M6 was the way to go. Now with the L.E.D. technology out there, I finally opened my eyes to the TLR-1 HL. The TLR has 800 lumens compared to the M6 which does not even produce 200 lumens.

The current TLR is now mounted on a Glock Pez Dispenser. At only $125.00 (Midway USA) the addition to your system is a must. I am even considering place a TLR on my Colt M4 Pez Dispenser, using a remote pressure switch.

    Thanks for looking,,

I got one of these from Harbor Freight about 2 months ago for the vehicle. It has a magnetic bottom & great for working under the hood at night. Its also very bright.
