How to break a US Marine
A friend of mine posted this on Facebook the other day.I found it quite entertaining.
These Marines Try To Mess With Little Norwegian Kids. They Never Expected What Happened Next. | Atchuup! – Cool Stuff, Pass It OnBjoernar
Um, all of them, any of them that have been in front of me over all these years....

I guess the lesson of the story is, "If you try to take over a Norwegian elementary school, bring more troops."

'Think I've seen it. 'Great story. 'Perfect response to ill-chosen act.
I'm hopelessly bias in favor of Marines, having spent some time w/ them as a civilian. 'Like any & all - get enough of us together & someone will have bouts of foolishness. As I recall, we have 'Cut of the Day' and 'Hall of Shame' threads here. 'Glad this one remained something to laugh at. Thx for posting, Birnando. 'Hope you & yours are very well.

My son's dentist was in the military and was in the Navy dental Corps stationed at Pendleton. He said he'd get these crusty old battle hardened Marines and when he got them in the chair they would be terrified of him and literally shake in their boots. He said they used to refer to dentists as the "tooth fairies" and when he got them in his chair he exacted his revenge.

Apparently the Marines didn't know the history and might of the Norwegian Resistance Movement, LOL.

Yes - I believe it was the Norwegians were the first resistance troops that #5 Commando of the newly formed British Special Operations Executive attempted their first "commando" style mission, and the precursor to the Special Forces services that we see today was born.
edit: and aside from the Norwegian kids being awesome snowball assault teams, they grow up to be awesome hockey players!Last edited by Phrank; 02-05-2015 at 05:51 PM.

Haha. I love imagining a group of tanned, sunglasses wearing Americans from the Carolinas trying to snowball fight with a bunch of Norweigan kids who grew up in snow. Great story, Bruno!
