Sounds crazy, but it works most every time.

Have someone cover your ears (the one with hic-cups) firmly with both hands, compressing the ears, and then the drink and an 8 oz glass of water in one go.

For some reason, it causes a decompression and usually works, might be a "wives tale" but those old tales sometimes have some wisdom...or not??
