Yeah --- I know where the statement came from, thank you --- but it is still used by some when promoting the general populations role in government --- you're just reinforcing what I was trying to say which is that as our country evolves , the original intentions of the founding fathers gets obscured.

The statement I quoted as well as others might often be associated with the founding fathers, the constitution, etc as some might believe the statement "seperation of church and state" is explicitly in the 1st Amendment of the Constitution. Again, maybe some statements like : "and that government of the people, by the people, for the people, shall not parish from the earth" might cause some confusion when talking about American government.

Agreed and done so intentionally. When a Supreme Court Justice quotes a European Court, he should be asked to resign.

I don't know Mark sometimes I do need my diapers changed --hehe ---

It's difficult on these forums to know if someone is agreeing with you or sharp shooting you ---- plain typed text leaves a little to be desired ---but it's all fun and good.

I must say though, I think this has been one of the most polite threads as far as disagreements go on such a potentially explosive topic!
This is a perfect example as to how civilized men should disagree!!

Yep it could of turned ugly there --- Bruno is right, we are all basically alike ---but those little differences can cause so many problems. I for one consider everyone a friend here and have no intentions of creating enemies --- except for the Aussies --- what a bunch of rotten blokes those guys are ----James, John, Greg, Chopper, Lancer, who am I forgetting? ---acid for blood those guys .
