I thought I was in the company of a bunch of old wise shavers. I guess I am in the company of a lot of young but wise shavers. guess you don't have to be old to be good.
And no matter how old y'all are I still thank you for holding my hand in this sometimes rough and dangerous country of straight shaving.

I'm 39. About 10 or 12 years ago, I made a painful and unsuccessful attempt with a straight, but I found this board a couple months ago and I've been shaving consistently with a straight since then.

46 for me. I started this year.
Unlike some others, I now do not own a DE nor cartridge razor. No looking back......
To quote my elder, "whatever".

43 (44 in Oct.) and just started using the straight this year, used a mach3 and a DE before that. I've given away the much3, but the de's are still laying around for those times when I'm in a hurry.

Started in my early twenties. As there was no one to turn to with questions I stopped frustrated about 10 years ago. 45 years old now and much wiser thanks to SRP! Only when really pressed for time will I turn to my Gilette double blade thingy.
