My thoughts exactly. At least keep it maintained and usable through the first bloody winter! Anyone with any sense at all knows weird things can happen when the temps drop. And then demolish it once you know the new one is good to go. But what do we know...?

It was in original condition, faded red, well-worn, but nice.
This was and still is my favorite combination; beautiful, original, and worn.

You guys don't realize the seriousness of this situation. I just read that all the toilet paper in the west,,,, comes from the east :<00

Good judgment comes from experience, and experience....well that comes from poor judgment.

The old bridge has to come down because that is where the second 2 lane span of the new bridge will go. The 4 lane road will start just before the east side of the new bridge and end at Thunder Bay. The only 4 lane stretch of highway, about 70 miles of it, between the Soo and the Manitoba border on the Trans Canada. You still have 12 hours of 2 lane in the Soo to Manitoba border section. Not bad for the main highway across Canada, eh.
