I cannot comprehend how the drilling pipes can extend that far without getting twisted into a spiral mess. I suppose I'd have daisy chain quite a few Shopsmiths together to generate enough torque for that.

I logged one at 24500 feet. It took a while to get the tools to bottom.

Mike we could talk military , but my time was so far back I might remember differently, like. Was Audie Murphy or something, but a knuckle dragged I am, so we would get along , heck I,nam coming out of a tavern and a tattoo parlor every now and then a few years back,, as to Ron, I,m not sure! Lol, man Dave that was a good hole. Over the years I was slated for depths like that , sometimes they just stop you, or they put the well on hold due to the price of oil going down and you go to somewhere else. And Ron they do "TwistOff" and then get "Runn Oft". Tc

Not your average Home Depot associate. I went to Home Depot and got a job to crawl out of the mess a divorce will leave you in. When everybody wants in your wallet the best way to get them off your back is not have a wallet :<0) I am having a lot of fun there though and learning even more about handy man type work. I don't wear an apron which is unusual for anybody that works for HD. If a manager wants an office remodel they call me. Here is one I just finished.

Now that that is all in the past I am looking around for something fun again. I had a backhoe rental business for 20 some years and a contractors lic. for paving and grading. I have had a lot of different jobs in the construction industry and can build just about anything. Took 6 years of drafting classes, ummm learned a little programming , I love making 3D models and animation. I had a small ranch and know how to grow my own food and a lot about raising animals.

This hobby with straights is been a blast and I am thinking about building a shop and maybe making a small business doing that.

I just don't know at this point. I want to get the heck out of California and if it wasn't winter I might be moving into your neighborhood right now. I feel like I am 21 again only with the right brain doing the thinking this time. I can drink and do what ever I want and I am broke :<0) I also have no desire to retire. If that works for you great but from what I have seen that's when you start to rust.

The world is mine and I don't know what to do with it !

Freelance film and television producer. Currently on Discovery's Naked & Afraid. Probably will be for the rest of the year as the show is doing well. I like them because they don't mind when I show up late because I was shaving.

Love that show. Hate the pixelation though. See if you can do a better job producing it without that. It's distracting...
