    OZ left!

I have only been poking in here because you all are razor-buddies to me.
I hate to see you argue and insult.
Our other issues have been accommodated and that is a two-way street we have always dealt with.
Gun control does the same as politics does.

Would someone begin a gun-control thread ONLY for those who are against it?
    NO! We have a rule..

Interestingly, I find fault with the OP.

Go to post 1 and you will see this thread seems to have been begun to bash Republicans and their Convention.
Whether any party affiliation was implied, I leave that to you.

Nothing against Republicans, nor Democrats, I feel it improper to begin such a thread and cause this much mayhem among my razor-buddies.

If someone had begun a thread on the Democratic Convention to beat on the issues there, it would be the same thing.

Not worthy of an all-inclusive and enjoyable conversation, either way. Let's squash things like this and be friends.

My button only works for me. Does yours work for you?

Of course now some will be along, break-up what I have typed, and put it to their own use.

I have nothing to do with that sort of thing. Sad that some will do it, however.
My words are here. If you quote them, please quote them in their entirety.
    G-Nite!

Hirlau, since I'm the OP you referenced allow me to explain the intention of my post instead of your guess. My question was a very clear one. Responses could have easily been "they've done a good job and here's why" or "failed and here's why". The intention was to start a rational dialog on the subject raised. Nothing more.

Please refer to response to Hirlau above. No party bashing intended. I can't help it is some responders feel the need to not address the original question. Of course some simply don't care to.

As stated earlier and agreed to by Glen "Shaving discussions on 1st floor". This is an appropriate place to try to have a rational discussion about any political subject.

    Yep, and I agree again

I have zero problem separating this sub-forum from the shaving ones, I enjoy the banter even the veiled insults..
We have a varied and diverse membership here and different opinions are welcome by me, but I am a firm believer in "If you dish it out be prepared to take it too"

If you all wish to go at it, so be it. I suppose angry words bother me too much. Go at it!

    Good luck!

I be honest with the thread title of 'Republican National Convention' and after the first few posts it looked like flame bait to me.

Yes, the Greeks really are a problem for the rest of Europe. When the Greeks send people, they’re not sending the best. They’re sending people that have lots of problems, and they’re bringing those problems with them. They’re bringing drugs. They’re bringing crime. They’re rapists. And some, I assume, are good people.

Ah, yes. Finally an on-topic contribution to this thread. Thank you.

And you are making an excellent point. The RNC saw the return to 20th century hate speech. And nobody seemed to mind.

Taking into account the prominent role which Christian faith has been playing in the pre-Trump era, one would have expected a bit more New Testament to be included in the mix. However, it was 100% Old Testament (not including, unfortunately, Mr Trump's favourite passage, "two Corinthians"). Which is funny, given the extremely low percentage of Jews being present.

No, Glen, they are not. The word you are looking for is "humour", as in "defuse a hostile situation with humour." And Ivan is one of the best when it comes to that. As you know well, because you have been on the receiving end of his acidic wit more than enough.

Yes, Glen, we all know that. Only, we call it bullying. And that is the single worst character feature a "senior moderator" could have. You will not ever see Ivan, Nelson, Bruno, or others do it. Which is what makes them capable moderators.

Well, greatest shitstorm incoming in France IMHO is the rise of the extremisms.

Otherwise, I share Sharptonn's opinion, better stick to SR discussions
