That was the call sign for Scott "Zulu" O'Grady. He was an F-16 fighter pilot who was shot down in Bosnia trying to help rescue others. His story is a example of what God does on a daily basis.

I really admired the guy, so I stole his callsign.

Onimaru is one of my favourite Japanese movies. It's based on Bronte's Wuthering Heights & translates to 'demon child'. Heathcliff's character in the novel.
55 is my birth year..
Have loved all things Japanese since I was 12 which is when I started Martial Arts. Still at it at 53 - Yeah ... slow learner.

Hmmm.
On the old forum at Yahoo, I posted as jpfaster1. It's from an inside joke with a buddy of mine years ago that seems kindof dumb now. Got tired of that one and as soon as the new forum was up, went with simply JohnP which is simply my name and last initial. Much easier. I also sign John P. at the end from habit, when I joined SRP (yahoo group) there were quite a few guys named John and it began to be confusing, to me at least.

well...i've had mine for a long time since i was about 14 and started playing Delta Force: Black Hawk Down. Back then i liked my names to be crazy cooky w/e so i decided to just look around and find what looked like a good name in a random spot and i happened to look at a money order stub and it said "detach" so i now use that :P
