    Default Explain your forum username.....?

    Saw this posted over at SMF.com, and thought it was a good idea. How did you come up with your chosen username? I'll start: "threeputt", as in the verb ...Regrettably, it's something I do quite frequently. On the golf course, of course. If you're not a golfer and this makes no sense, threeputting is not a good thing! My short game sux. Merry Christmas, by the way! ....Jeff

    Went by AFDavis for a long time everywhere, it is my initials and name but as I was in the Air Force for 22 years the AF part fit well too.

    The Wop is because I'm Italian, The Man because I'm a Man, and the Fixit is because I'm in charge of building maintenance, I fix (or repair) things. I'm a "hands on" type, so I've fixed everything from the women's jewelry to most any building componant you can name (except computers, I screw them up.lol), to fabricating custom componants.

    Mine's pretty self explanatory. I've a PhD in Forestry (hardwood Silviculture) and am a professor in the Auburn University School of Forestry and Wildlife Sciences.

    Mine has been Heirphoto since I got my first computer. A previous business of mine was Heirloom Photorgraphic "Heirphoto". I used to build reproduction wooden view cameras for reenactors doing wet plate collodion photography.

    Some of my cameras have been used in movies, used at the George Eastman House for teaching early processes and many are used by contemporary commercial and fine art photographers like Sally Mann and Robert Maxwell.

    I got used to the name and never really thought about a more razor oriented name instead.

    MVForza... I own an MV Agusta motorcycle (some of you may know what that is), so that is where the MV comes from. Forza, as defined in an Italian to English dictionary, means "power, strength, force". MVForza is what my license plate says and its my email address

    This is a fun thread

    skiblur... for some reason at the time I really liked the idea of blur as a name, and it was taken. I had an obsession with skiing, even though I was located in the heartland, and so skiblur was born!

    Unfortunately for me, I played around changing my password one day with my yahoo mail and messed it up, so now it's skiblur2 over there hahaha.
