Hehehe, that's awesome. I kinda miss having a landline. When the house phone rang I knew to ignore it cause that's where all the sales/bill collectors called. Now everything funnels to my cell phone.

My uncle and dad had a one row corn picker you hook behind a tractor and it had a drive shaft. a lot better that picking corn buy hand. one day my uncle got to close to the shaft and it got hold of his overhauls and it was luck they were old. ripped them rite off him. now he wore overhauls a shirt shocks and shoes. No draws. left him standing in the field that way. about 2 miles from his home.

Good thing it didn't grab anything else lol
Seriously though PTO shafts are probably the most dangerous things there are on equipment
There have been more than a couple deaths in our county from them. Always be aware of where you're at around equipment

I like reading the things you guys write here. Kinda like sitting around and listening to my dad and the old boys at the diner. They're all 80 or older

Like other folks back then we wore our cloths until they just about fell off us. The old overalls he wore in the fields were that way. He always wore overalls and depending on where he went determined how new they were. Sun was the new ones. Farming equipment was and probelly still is the most dangerus . In 1969 a friend was pulled up in a cotton picker and 67 another died when an old john deer turned over.

One of the most dangerous things (statistics wise) was sitting on the fender of a tractor. We all did it though as there was no other place to sit on the older equipment.

And now we hold super sharp blades to our faces/throats every day.

    Correlation??
