Children of presidents receive minimal SS protection here and abroad. if a heavy security force is required that's a totally different matter. The State Department has it's own cadre of Special Agents who protect Americans abroad and are assigned abroad and domestically and protect foreign dignitaries in the U.S coordinated with the dignitaries own security force.

Is that the same bunch that was on duty when there was an intruder at Sussex drive, the time Mrs Crètien knocked the intruder out with a bronze sculpture. She then held him by wielding a golf club, until the security got there.

As far as Trump Co. doing business in Vancouver. Vancouver boasts itself as the most multicultural city in Canada. If you want to quietly do business in Vancouver then you should be quiet. If you are looking to get into a cultural argument Vancouver is the place. All it requires is for you to make broad sweeping statements in the media about a group, pick one, any one, and there is a support group for it in Vancouver. Both Eric and Donald Jr have been on the news saying this and that, so they have to expect what is coming. As far as jobs for Canadians there are very few there, aside from the buildings construction. The building is owned by an off shore company and operated by another foreign company. It is not like it a hotel and condo building is going to support Canada's GDP.
