    :-)
    That is the road price Tim, and yup, it is loaded with taxes, the boat gas is slightly cheaper and still loaded with taxes. Off-road fuel is not that much less here. I just checked the dock price and boat gas is currently $1.69. It is suppose to be less, but the card lock where I get my truck gas is a different company than where the boat gas is, so they often don’t change prices up and down at the same time.

    How 2018 Sales taxes are calculated in Washington. The state general sales tax rate of Washington is 6.5%. Cities and/or municipalities of Washington are allowed to collect their own rate that can get up to 3.9% in city sales tax.

    Some politicians in Washington have tried and tried to get an Income Tax passed and it goes down like a lead balloon. And some politicians in Oregon keep trying to get a sales tax passed and there again it gets shot down.

    Several years ago WA State had a sting for catching people with expensive vehicles (Motor Homes,High end Cars etc) They installed cameras at the bridge going from Washington to Oregon during a big weekend holiday. They kept track of the rigs with Oregon Plates heading out of state and then back into the state.

    They busted a lot of people.

    And I thought I was crazy for fishing on thin ice. Wasn't that thawed out not a week ago, Richard.

    Ive never ice fished, but that sounds like a damn good idea Tom. A little bit of safety. If I'm thinking right about your meaning.

    Actually, Pale neck hidden by mufflers;

    A week before we almost, lost one idiot fallen through the ice. He was rescued by a bystander who laid on the ice and pulled him in to shore!

    WISDOM HAS SAID, FOR MY LIFETIME AT LEAST, THAT ANYONE ON THE ICE SHOULD HAVE A COUPLE SHORTENED ICE PICKS TO HELP CRAWL ONTO THE ICE AFTER BUSTING THROUGH IT. SAID PICKS TO BE ATTACHED TOGETHER AND TO UPPER CLOTHING BY A LONG LANYARD. SOME SHOPS UP HERE SELL THEM AS A SERVICE.INCLUDING A SHEATH.

    PS. Those are warming tents and some are for spear fishing.

    Every year we have vehicles and snow machines go through the ice up here. Makes for expensive fish.

    Hear about the ice fisherman who caught 100 lbs of ice and his wife drowned trying to cook it.

    Usually in the Spring, we have ice fishermen trying to squeeze the last bit out of the season and then need to be rescued. Fittingly, they are given a ticket by the police (for stupidity, I think) and then are required to pay all the costs of the rescue operation. Those last few fish wind up costing them more than the best Japanese sashimi tuna.
