I know that this is supposed to be a 'Wordless' thread, however I can't seem to resist.
Whenever Ice Fishing is mentioned, three things come to mind:
1. The movie 'Grumpy Old Men'
2. The movie 'Grumpier Old Men'
3. This YouTube Movie

If you add it up it usually is much cheaper to go to the local supermarket for fish than catching your own.
But where is the fun in that?
I caught a Perch one weekend that was around $600 a pound. And that was a long time ago.

Many year ago a friend of my dad added up all of his expenses for the Elk Hunt. Came to around $2000.00 per pound as it took years before he managed to get one and that was back in the 80's!
But as you said, there is the pleasure element that has to be factored in.
Now back to pictures and while we are on the subject of hunting and fishing. My two oldest grandchildren with their first bucks. (My son in law is an avid hunter and fisherman and my daughter isn't bad at all either.

I thought this was just posting pictures, a wordless thread as per the title.
The picture in my previous post is a wild mushroom shot from my mobile phone on December 2nd during a mushroom collecting excursion. I haven't identified the species but my guess is either Inocybe violacea or Cortinarius Salor.

Thanked: 4827I think Jerry is referring to your picture post without the minimal number of characters, not your lack of description. Often people have to put a string of character for the forum software to allow the post.
