There is proof. I can't cite it properly but I saw a thing about DDT and the fact that malaria was eradicated in the Americas by it but because of the ban in the US the UN will not allow it to be used in Africa where.it is rampant

In my area, when the sun goes down there's an erie, high pitched whine that comes first, from the woods, and gets louder the darker it gets. Reminiscent of a air raid of B-17s from WWII.
On hot humid, full moon nights, we've had small children carried off by them, and live stock drained of all bodily fluids.Mike

I came from England. I don't remember mosquitos there, but it might have been my geography.
The first time i got mosquito-ed here i swollen up like the elephant man and black flies, OMG, they don't do the mosquito itchy thing, those little sods bite holes!- - Steve

Yeah....we get a taste of them, too. Nothing like up there, though. The deer fly takes its place once u get away from lake Erie, in Ohio.

Not sure why but we dont have many insects. Sure they are around but not like I've seen in other areas of the US.
It's just Sharpening, right?

The bloody flies and mozzies will drive ya nuts here in summer. Good repellant does the job.
