Currently in the world there is a group that believe that it is "good and right" to strap explosives to their bodies and walk into a crowded place to destroy other people. I sincerely hope that they are listening to their hearts if they are willing to sacrifice themselves for what they believe.
So, whose definition of "good and right" do we use?

Thanked: 150then why not outlaw fastfood which is most certainly harmful to your helth? Have you ever seen "supersize me"?
edit: it did not include the quote that crack should be outlawed because it is bad for your health.
My point was that if it is our body, and we have an unconditional right to do with our body what we will, when why can the government regulate those actions which only affect our body, and no one else?Last edited by mhailey; 07-14-2007 at 12:55 AM.

Jonedangerousli, if you are interested I will PM you but it will probably be a lengthy discussion between you and me!
mhailey, I don't understand your question. I was only defending your line of reasoning. I do not argue for arguments sake! Is this what you are doing, or did we misunderstand each other?

Wrong again. Your heart is your opinion. An unimpassioned look at the facts will betray what is right and wrong.
No such thing. Cook up a batch of crystal meth poison and you're trying to profit of the destruction of others. There is nothing good to be said for it. Since it's addictive, people can't be trusted to make the correct decision once they're hooked. At least with junk food there are benefits like calories.
Why do I have to do all the thinking for you?

Thanked: 150JMS,
did the edit of my prior post clarify my position?
To all, I don't want to argue. no one ever wins an argument. I like the educated exchange of ideas, and found this thread to be quite engaging, with some well reasoned positions from various people. I will stop.
