Glen ! Sorry to hear this but glad things have panned out.
Smoke inhalation is a real threat for folks with lung issues. Great idea on the filter.
Our whole east coast burnt for about 3 months & I reckon it took just as long for me to stop coughing every morning.

Yep. That is the key point. If you have a cough or fever or headache you ain't getting in until tested. My wife was running a fever since she has an infection inside. But she was able to get the results in one day.
Good luck to you and her Glen. This is a bad time to have medical issues pop up.It's just Sharpening, right?

If your health issues cannot wait for the 48 to 72 hour result times go to the ED.

I thought the same until this happened
But it puts you into a "Presumed CV-19" track which actually slows do the non-covid treatment, I asked exactly that figuring exactly what you said
I learned how wrong I was, this is why I posted about our experience, because I would have said the exact same things you are saying today, last week..
They have certain protocols that just make no sense right now, it is very frustrating being told all this when trying to seek care, and they really don't listen to anything you tell them until you have that negative test result
It really sucks
OTOH
The new Dr not only saw Shan today but saw me too so we are registered with their office now
We are no longer free agents and have a New Primary with extended hours and staff..
Now since I had no symptoms and Shan was negative, I had no issues seeing a Dr they took me immediatelyLast edited by gssixgun; 09-15-2020 at 12:42 AM.

Sorry to read that access to healthcare is that hard in corona age. Many of my patients at risk have a course of antibiotics at home for use as and when required. After they have used it they get a repeat prescription. Patients that I know well can ring the surgery and tell us what symptoms they have and get a prescription without being seen by me.

That is the way it should be, if our old Primary had not left to teach at the University we probably could have done the same with a single phone call since she had treated Shan for the same thing about 5 years ago..
Not positive in this day and age but we at least could have tried that first.."No amount of money spent on a Stone can ever replace the value of the time it takes learning to use it properly"

It was in original condition, faded red, well-worn, but nice.
This was and still is my favorite combination; beautiful, original, and worn.

Damn Glen, what a headache. I'll keep both of you in my prayers. It's a sad state we find ourselves in. A few years ago I had a kidney removed and after surgery had an anaphylactic reaction to a medication and almost died. They had the O2 cranked to 30 (usually it's around 12-15) and my blood still wouldn't hold the oxygen. Ever since then I have had a cough. When I go places now I have to just lie to them, as much as I hate it, because if I don't when they ask me about a cough then the wheels start turning.
I'm a believer in keeping government OUT if as much as we can. "The government that governs best, governs least." If you want to see a log jam happen involve the federal government.
