I think it also points out that even after having a second dose those immunised should continue with all the usual Covid 19 precautions as they may still be able to spread the infection. Looks like it will not be until some time after the population of a country has enough people vaccinated to reach herd immunity, 80%?, will/should the usual precautions be lifted. That won't make a lot of people happy.

One person I know that had been vaccinated still got covid.

One big thing is that he had less of a reaction than the others around him.

That was good and everyone related was fine but it shows that the vaccine is not a cure or 100% effective.
