We're due for a bit of rain today, but not much....0.1-0.25 inches. It might delay the resumption
of fire season for a week, but it won't add anything to our near-empty reservoirs.

1,968,326 Acres burned so far this year in California.

No rain of any consequence is expected until November.

Man, that is a rough spot to be in. I really hope that situation changes. Just up the coast BC will get torrential rains from a pineapple express.

I'm not even going to get into the whacky quackery of global warming junk science and hysteria. Too much political agenda and not enough fact.

I do believe that we should be good stewards of the earth to the best of our ability. That is a different thing than "save the planet" which we are incapable of. That puts us in the God seat which is frankly above our pay grade. "Save the humans," is probably even beyond us since we cannot get on the same page and probably never will.

Planet Earth will survive just fine with or without us. It's survived all kinds of cataclysmic events in it's long history. The life on it is another story.

Like everything else you get to choose your facts but it's like russian roulette. Choose the wrong ones and it's like all those fools who deny Covid and Vaccines and are dead now.

Bob, got the rain! Thanks for sending it. I hope shipping costs weren't too much.

We are getting a nice gentle rain, it could rain like this for a week and not hurt a thing. However it's only supposed to be for today and tomorrow, but it beats a swift kick in the arse.

Yeah there's some truth to that but there's also the matter of credibility. I tell you what, when someone on the global warming hand wringing committee makes China and India quit polluting And quit exploiting their workers or even suggest that they do so then I'll listen. Until then all I have to say is...

Yep...clean air goes to Europe, across Russia. Down thru Asia, across Africa, and back to use to be cleaned again

Kinda. But one volcano blows, and we've done nothing.
The problem with the earth is.....too many humans thinking they can manipulate it.
