I find it sad and slightly annoying that you feel the need to make excuses for yourself!

C'mon man, don't make the mods have to put on their mod hats...everything has been quite civil so far.
Mine just has to do with my bike- it's orange and I'm fast on it. Not too fierce or awe inspiring

Yeah, it is a fantastic soap for those days you work on the truck. Nice exfoliating pumice and citrus
EDIT: Well, the soap is called Fast Orange, but it's close enough

Well... my name is Bruno.
I wasn't in a creative mood whern I registered here.
This thread has been civil so far. Let's all keep it that way.Til shade is gone, til water is gone, Into the shadow with teeth bared, screaming defiance with the last breath.
To spit in Sightblinder’s eye on the Last Day

yes..... civil indeed
but another has not, in fact MANY have not.
I originally started this thread because I had a post deleted by a Mod for making a racially offensive comment.
Well, I agreed to remove to particular comment, but it wasn't enough.
I was also told to remove anything that referred to race whether derogatory or not.
So, I have been told to remove words such as
(I'll let you pick the operative word in the group since I have to do it Howard Stern style, yes, that is what we have come to)
" My ringtone on my cell is the Mexican Hat Dance"
"So you think you're a Redneck"
"Most blues songs are too "Jazzy" for me but I sure like the Honky Tonk Blues",
" I like the white trash bags that smell like flowers. Glad brand I think."
and of course
" My favorite brand of soda cracker is Saltine Crackers".
OK, so we are going for a completely sterile environment are we?
These words are clearly in violation of the rules are they?
It seems to me that the words " Red Injun" are clearly in violation of the rules.
I pointed this out but was told that it is a trademarked brand and is therefore immune.
Somehow I find myself no less offended.
The particular mod also decided that sarcasm was the order of the day and said he would check and see if we could ban the " Washington Redskins" and the "Cleveland Indians".
Again, thank you for complying with the site rules.
I have forwarded your concerns regarding "Boker Red Injun" to the moderator team and site administrators for clarification.
I also mentioned Washington Redskins and Cleveland Indians as other examples you might find offensive.
If we were talking about sports that is one thing, but to make a joke of it, well then it becomes a slur.

I feel (and others may as well) that this particular display of was a direct insult by way of making light of my request and that action should be taken.
I am deeply offended by the word, whatever the context.
You folks all know I am not the PC type.
I am also very sorry that it has come to this, but I have been bullied and will not stand for it.
If the only possible resolution is for me to leave then it shall be so.
I will not be wronged, I won't be insulted, I won't be laid a hand on.
I don't do these things to other people and I require the same from them.

Leaving then?
Sorry to see you go. I enjoyed most of your statements even when I didn't agree with them.
Hope you have a good one and maybe you'll be seen again somewhere else or at a later date.

Perhaps, we shall see how this is resolved.
It is an option, but the last option after all others have been exhausted.
I'm not a quitter, never have been.
I do however realize that I would do better to leave than to remain somewhere I was being insulted or bullied, as nothing good can come from it.Last edited by gratewhitehuntr; 10-04-2007 at 01:18 PM. Reason: thought it out

oh...I don't know. I've been in lots of places where I've been insulted....never stopped me from staying if I wanted to be there.
