Thanked: 33I've always thought of relion or faith as private, but I trust you guys so I have voted.I also find it hard to put into words ,so bear with me.
When i was young I did not believe in religion ,even though i was a choir boy in our local church, but as I have experienced the many wonders in life my thoughts on religion are changing.
It's like a dream-when you are young and angry and you don't believe, you look back on your life and god is a mysterious man you can't quite make out right at the back of all the people you are travelling with, but he is definately there.
Now, many years later, you are older and wiser- you look back and he has gained on you -he's only just behind you now -perhaps nearly touching your shoulder but you still can't make out his face.
Just a few more steps and..........
Maybe it's all just an age thing.
Regards
Noggs

You've put it into words marvelously well, in my opinion, Noggs. Thanks.

Christian. When I attend, (rarely, very rarely), it is the Catholic Church as despite the legendary ridgidity, I came to know many good priests over the years and found them to be knowledgable, realistic and understanding...not the admonisher with the pointing extended finger.
The most pleasing thing about this thread is despite the diversity of takes on the topic, there are no debates. I think it says somewhere in the bible that is a man does what is right in his heart...he is just and it sounds like that is what everyone here is doing.
It has long been my opinion that the greatest disservice to God is often committed by those who try and control others by claiming to speak in His name...Courage is what it takes to stand up and speak; courage is also what it takes to sit down and listen.

What do you believe in?
I believe the KJV of 1611 is the only word of God for English speeking people. I believe the Lord Jesus Christ is the only living God, and belief in the Gospel is the only way to heaven. As for the Atheist of the Agnostics Romans Chapter 1 will tell you all are without excuse, and Psalms 14:1 will tell you that it is foolish not to believe that ther is a God to fear and a God that will judge you. Believe in the Laws of God or the only other thing to believe in is the law of the Jungle!

Baptized, raised and educated Catholic. Like eveyone (who has a brain) I questioned my faith in my youth and ultimately came out of it with my faith strengthened. While I don't believe the existence of God can be proven (which is why we call it faith), I do believe that a good argument can be made for it, scientifically. That's all I'll say, since this isn't the place for debate.
