Hrmmm.. Yes and no... I say no initially, because originally i chose that insig in irony-- in that i'm studying to be a chemical engineer (almost done, wooh!), and seeing that Alchemy violates some of the key principles i believe in, i found it funny for my avatar to be a contradiction of myself--mainly due to what the anonymity of the internet does to people (See

However, yes, I do see the Sulphur of Perfection insignia as a bit of a commentary on religion and the simplistic nature of 'doing the right thing' being overcomplicated by people in funny hats. (Note that this is not a slight towards Catholicism, or Hinduism, or even Judaism! Its just that... well... everyone who is in a major seat of religious power has a funny hat!)

Not sure if that puts things in a bit of perspective.

P.S. I'm sure you get this often, but your videos helped me so much when I started. Thanks!

I believe in the Platinum Rule: Do on to others as they would have you do on to them. Also, the New York Rule: Do on to others before they do it on to you.

Is a belief system what we used to call a religion?

It's interesting that, between atheist, agnostic and "other", 46.76% of respondents chose something different than traditional religion.....
Even more interesting - that Jedi wasn't even an option!!!
