I do understand the secular federation, but assuming this is irrelevant, our present president has brought his christian beliefs to the forefront of his political leadership. As far as Obama is concerned, I see that certain news forums and networks are starting to look into his muslim past. It's also no surprise that he is claiming to be christian at this time. Aside from all this, his plans will not help our economy. It will only hurt the country. We need tax cuts, that will keep more money in the hands of working people and give our economy a bit of a boost.
Anyway, this could go on and on and go no where. I believe the presidential selection has already been made for us.

I would like to know how this has been of any help to the US? The religion influenced policies have been a failure by any standard of a policy (take the sex ed funding for example).
I understand that being a sinner before seeing the light is a major part of the Christian narrative, but the current president being an addict in his adult life doesn't speak too well about him. And if you look at current president's family support and friendship with muslim dictators, that doesn't speak too well about living what you're preaching.
Certainly, I have no issues with debates about what is helping the economy or the country in general and what is not. My only issue is with irrelevant, and possibly false accusations. And I felt the same way about Romney and his non-mainstream religion, who happened to be in the opposite camp.

Saw this and had to post it..
I wouldn't even know where to start in talking about this election. I early voted in the Texas primary yesterday. There was an old woman there who got angry when they asked if she was democrat or republican. "I'm a republican of course!" I later heard her ask,"is this the primary or the main election?"..then I realized that she was indeed a republican..

" Why would an American vote for a man named Barack Hussein Obama?
Check that middle name if the first and last ones don't make you think."
What a sad commentary that someone would think that a person's middle name is somehow relevant. Funny but I don't seem to recall any references to John McCain's middle name. Perhaps because it's totally irrelevant to John McCain's credentials to be the next president. Sadly, some folks around here can't seem to differentiate a United States senator from a dead Iraqi dictator. I can make the distinction, can't you?
One final note: George Lincoln Rockwell was the head of the American Nazi Party. You know, "George" (as in George Washington) "Lincoln" (as in Abraham Lincoln) "Rockwell" (as in Norman Rockwell) . Guess these former presidents and painter of Americana were Nazis, eh?

Plus I think having spent time in a muslim country is a good thing at this time. It would certainly be better than a secretary of state who has studied Russia extensively.
