Today in celebration of earth's 1,643,590,000,001st Earth Day, let us consider expressing our gratitude to mother earth by penning renewed commitment to her health. I shall begin with a haiku

    The earth is so great.
If you don't agree with me,
    I won't like your posts.

    Next, a sonnet:

    Behold, dirt; (a)
    Not just dirty! (b)
And no I'm not being flirty, (b)
I mean earth no hurt (a)
Off my back I'd give my shirt (a)
To not sound so nerdy (b)
But here it is almost 9:30 (b)
So this proclamation I blurt: (a)
    No more emissions(c)
    From my hands or feet(d)
    Shall harm this planet.(e)
    Such filthy mans(c)
    Though sincerely I greet(d)
I'll not hesitate to ban it(e)

    Lastly, a limerick:

I once met a man from New Brunswick
Who sold me some salt I just once licked
    Seeing my chance
    I made that man dance
& We vowed to never make earth sick

Thank you and Happy Earth Day

    WTG Lee!

Can we have a show of hands from all those who skipped shower to smell little bit more earthy?
Oh never mind, my nose seems to be more than enough - no raised hands necessary.

Sorry, everyone, I was late this year due to a bad cold brought on by all the smog I produced the past 12 months. I promise to do better from now on

When the earth stops spewing particulate matter into it's own atmosphere through volcanic activity, when lightning strikes stop burning down and destroying trees, when fish stop sh*tting in the ocean and bears stop sh*tting in the forest (they do don't they?), when wild animals stop devouring every darn thing they can get there paws on without regard or consequence, then so will I.

    Until then -

    a belated, Happy Earth Day

Some effort - I must admit - is environmentally friendly but is based on my refuse to eat and drink in whatever not made from pottery or glass. I am not a dog to eat on a plastic bag, bowl or cup. I also shave with a teacup of water, my car bears half inch of dust, I let the garden to fix carbon by allowing it to grow wildly and the vegetation homes opossums, macaws, toucans, marmosets, snakes (who prey upon the rodents) and spiders (who prey upon the cockroaches). I also do not waste electrical energy ironing anything, and all my baths are "cold" (It is really difficult to have some cold water to refresh in the semi-arid tropics, anyway). I eat only organics (like pork, cattle, horse and rabbit - have you seen any of them produced on refinerys?) and, finally, I do not raise damn little humans... 7 billions are enough. I keep the practice just because I love the sport.

I planted some Citronella plants around the door to keep bugs & cats away from my porch.
I did this instead of using Deet (Diethyltoluamide)or placing electronic bug killing lights.
I'm going green & saving the wildlife.

If you want to keep the bugs away, just spray some Pinaud Vegetal on your porch, actually forget about that, it'll kill the bugs but attract all the female cats that are in heat....
