I personally hope that happens.
She will siphon off support from Obama and ensure McCain takes the election.
I have no love for McCain; I don't trust him either but given the options he is it as far as I can tell. I just hope he opts for Romney as VP. We need a business leader vice a bureaucrat in a position of leadership.

It is highly unlikely she'll run independent. That would be political suicide. The democrats would drop her for ruining the presidential race. Neither Obama or Clinton would have good odds of winning in that scenario, so it'd be a lose-lose situation for her. She wouldn't win AND she'd ruin her own political career.

Terry McAuliffe, Howard Dean etal, and the DNC put the most shrill and far left candidates forward that they could. I guess they figured that after G W Bush this is their chance. Backed by BIG money, Soros etal, they have whipped up noise from the base. In the general election, IMHO, the Democrats will be thrashed. The Democrats have relied on the guidance of failed personalities and it will continue to serve them as it has in the past.
