Why our so called leaders deem it necessary to declare war on countries who have never taken aggressive action against our own & our armed forces are still there five years later

Our governments themselves who take actions that put the whole population at risk when they are meant to do the opposite.

If you defend yourself, you end up being charged with assaulting your attacker.

Levity is good. It is like watching some contender for a Darwin award choking on a denture cleaning tablet because he thought it would be a good way to clean his teeth. I saw this once & could not help myself

as a matter of fact some progressive countries use(d) to require licenses for owning kid(s)

as far as the government starting a war against somebody who doesn't present a threat - well that's just evidence of governments getting smarter. they used to start wars all the time and they used to last quite a bit longer (there's a group of them named the 100 year war).... at least now they can pick a state that's not as powerful as theirs.

Yea, that brings up a whole other series of stories that's probably better off left for a separate thread! Gotta love the Darwin Awards

We get taxed and taxed and taxed, and the things we're taxed for often don't get those funds. My fellow Oklahomans know this as our road and bridge system

.... where we tax those who smoke cigarettes and use the money to pay for (amongst other things) our national health service (in the UK) which will treat your (and others) lung cancer/asthma which you continue to exacerbate with your smurfin smoking!!!!

Y'know, lung cancer and asthma are caused by other things. Aircraft mechanics are good candidates for lung cancer because of the chemicals

Of course they are. But smoking is a prime cause of- in particular- lung cancer. I'm not saying its the only cause, i'm just saying its a crazy system.
