I can understand the frustration of not being able to recognise films that are not very well known, or old... (damn, I have already seen the man on the left, but cannot remember the name of the film... not a very easy one Philadelph).

But I agree with Philadelph: box office numbers nor time of release are relevant for a good film (see: The Complete List - ALL-TIME 100 Movies - TIME Magazine).

I have a proposition to increase the interest of this thread (make it more than a quiz maybe) and make it more "challenging" for us; I think that it could be use to really share the films we like with other who don't know them:

What if for every quiz when the title of the film has been found the one who asked explains a little about the plot, and why he likes it? maybe this will also help people reading the thread to go and have a look at the film by themselves...

    What do you think?

    Angry

That's what xman with Molière or I with the One-Armed Swordsman have tried to do but I guess nobody really gave a damn.

Personally, every movie I post is something I have recently seen and I have given 5 stars on Netflix. I also check out all the films I don't know after the answer has been given and look them up on Netflix to see if I would have an actual interest in seeing them. I have some in my queue currently from this quiz.

Anyway, if you have indeed seen this film, this pic will help...

P.S.- in the last pic it isn't the guy on the left you should figure out, it's the one on the right.

    Hints:

French film... heist... banned in Mexico since a certain scene kept getting mimicked...

    More to come if needed!

Sounds familiar. Is it The Asphalt Jungle?

That is correct holli. A quick google image search bring up that 2nd image. Its your turn.

We need easier films on this thread. Otherwise it gets boring.

Yeah, it's really just called Rififi for all intensive purposes. Great movie. I suggest everyone checks it out. I think I'm gonna stop posting here. Been fun! Thanks!

Ok, here's one from a great film that I think should be relatively easy. As a matter of fact, I'm going to watch the movie right now...
