and a recreation of the mission to mars contracption, for some reason it's not as good at hitting the ball as the first. http://FantasticContraption.com/?designId=3112676

Fantastic Contraption: A fun online physics puzzle game
NB: Clicking on a link which loads a solution such as the ones above will make your computer think you have done those levels. I just found this out the hard way.Last edited by sidneykidney; 10-16-2008 at 04:43 PM.

Wow, Sandy that is indeed a fantastic contraption! I didn't think of using chains until I saw someone else do it after I had finished the levels. That's a really solid way to win that level, nice. My back and forth was so convoluted and painstaking: Fantastic Contraption: A fun online physics puzzle game
Russell, nice slingshot. I basically used quick orange's idea for that one, making a long, rotating, hinged arm on wheels that swung through the goal area. Good wedge too. I saw where someone built a rail gun slingshot-like contraption for that one that actually beat the ball to the goal areaLast edited by hoglahoo; 10-16-2008 at 04:55 PM.

Thanked: 131Why is the last level so disappointingly obvious and easy?

I don't know, Sandy. Physics is that way sometimes. You think all your hard work will culminate in a crescendo of awe and glory but sometimes its just another small reward
And if you solved down under the way Russell did, then the last level is hardly more than a repeat.Find me on SRP's official chat in ##srp on Freenode. Link is at top of SRP's homepage

Thanked: 131Alternatively the last level is a repeat of 'The Tube'. But yeah, you're right.

Fantastic Contraption: A fun online physics puzzle game
It takes like 3 minutes to finish, and at one point gets a hairs width from falling off the edge. Man, I love slow days at work!
now to make it a little more refined...
