I spent the first 38 years on our family owned ranch, producing commercial Herefords, then gradually shifted to Hereford Angus Cross. Too much family on ranch, so I tried out a stint in aviation. I ended up as the Program Director for the Commercial Flight Training Program at a small but excellent community college. Decided I could no longer deal with the increasingly paper oriented world of academia, and decided to switch back to my roots. I now own and operate a custom saddlemaking shop. LOVE IT!!!
In my spare time I teach classes required for achieving a Concealed Weapon Permit, and do individual firearm instruction.

I was a project coordinator/business analyst (laid off in July) with a major health insurance company headquartered in MN. Prior to that I ran a call center for a local computer mfg. I'm your basic generalist...good at lots of stuff, but master of none of it
When I grow up, I would like to be college professor

That's cool. That was actually what I figured it was, but hey, one can never be certain about frickin' laser beams!

I've done quite a number of things, but most of my career has been as a writer, mostly on hiking, camping, paddling, mountaineering, some hunting and fishing, environmental issues, and (mostly) skiing.
As my father would say, a sure sign of a misspent youth.
