Oh, so we all need to adopt the Heritage Foundation's p.o.v. in the stimulus package. Gee--isn't this the same Heritage Foundation that supported the policies of the recently-departed G.W. Bush, who left the present POTUS with an economic nightmare to deal with? Maybe we can resurrect Jerry Falwell and have him run in 2012. Yeah-The Heritage Foundation-that's the ticket! Deny women the right to choose! Lock up the queers!! Back to the good ole days!!!

Wait a minute. If it was Clinton who signed the legislation that dismantled the bank regulations that led to the mortgage/ bank crisis, how does G.W. Bush take credit for leaving Obama with the resulting nightmare?

Don't be so logical Scott.

one could argue that this is "dubya's" fault because these "loans" that banks have been giving out have been small bank killers for about 2 years and he didn't even seem to look for a resolution until the meltdown. now in his defense, the white house may have been looking for a way to resolve it, we'll never know. i don't really think it's his fault, somewhere there is some bank exec that is hated everyone because he thought sub-prime mortgages were awesome. hopefully he's a greeter at Wal-Mart now.

Ok then, another question: Where under Article 2 of the Constitution does it say that the President of The United States is responsible for bank loans? Would you argue section 3? I'm guessing by the time he would have been informed, it was already too late.

If i had to say, i'd say section 3. but, i don't think this is his fault. he didn't create the bank killer or let it spread faster than the common cold in a kindergarten class. and i'm sure you're right by saying he found out after it was too late, much like the rest of us
