I am allergic to cats, and therefore I do not favor them, but i dont want to see one harmed. And if you do want to see em harmed, just dont show me afterwards.

Hmm.So you actually consider yourself a doper? In my book its not an honuorary title. Its a very close relative to junkie.I don't know if you are a person that smoke a couple a times a month, or if you smoke like your avatar name did.The reason for such a statement is what I have seen that **** do to people.I have lost a close relative due to drug use.And one of my best friends is still doing time (8 year now) for dealing(canabis). He vasted his entire youth on this.I don't care if you are some flower power hippy dude, that think smoking dope is a celebration of nature and life.Is it the same as smoking crack, or shooting heroin? No, of course not,but its not good for you.I also realice that this is a cultural matter, and that smoking pot is much more frown upon in my country than in the US or Canada. Also its a matter of weather or not your dope habit make you a burden of society.I may be biased in this matter, and to some degree a hypocrit.(As I have smoked my share) But I honestly think that by purchasing narcotics, you support a criminal cartel that is ruining the youth of our time.Sorry for sounding like a grand mother in this matter, I just have strong feelings of the subject.

BTW. Did you meen that I should take to steps back and shave my own face?

What is a "doper" by the way? Once a week? One hit at night to relax, like some people might have a glass of wine or a couple beers?
What if one does not buy narcotics from some narco-criminal importer, but from a friend who lives down the street and grows a few plants at a time, or someone who grows just for himself?
If this person is a dependable father and husband, a good and responsible professional, is this person a "doper?"

Now, the loser that this thread is about, I don't care if this is the first time he smoked pot. The problem here isn't his drug use.

I would say smoking everyday would make you a doper.Do you actually think that smoking every day for several years don't have any negative effects on you?
Regarding the grow for yourself argument, I think it is a principal matter. But I do understand why you would smoke a few now and then.I'm not a total crusader. And in that case its better to grow stuff yourself. But there is a difference between smoking now and then and commiting your whole life to pot.

Thanks for the response. A very, very good friend of mine smokes every night. She takes maybe a hit or two, while her husband has a drink or two. I wouldn't say she has "dedicated her life" to pot. They run a thriving business, she has more energy than anyone else I know, and is as far from what I would call a "doper" as I can imagine. She's been doing so for 15 years or so, and she is still one fo the sharpest people I know.
At the same time, i know people who smoke too much (or used to) and it made a mess of their lives. For the most part, people who have pot mess up their lives were people who would have found a way to do so regardless of whether they had weed.

    That is a valid point.

Are you saying that the bong-stuffing stoner who triggered this thread would have crammed his poor cat into a hookah (or perhaps his pipe?) if he had stuck to tobacco? You're probably right. But, the question remains, would he have been arrested?

Well, to a degree, probably yes. If this idiot didn't have weed, he most likely would not be a guy who would treat the animal he is responsible for terribly well. Perhaps if not "clouded" by weed, he would have been with alcohol. perhpas if sober, he would have thought the better of his actions. Probably not. I don't consider any form of intoxication an excuse for this type of action.

I don't get the reference ... did he say that in a movie? My Google search didn't come up with any good results.
