Good thread, guys! Kinda 80's heavy, though.

I'm computer illiterate, and besides, I doubt there would be Youtube links, but here are mine:

"Gimme Dat Ding" by the Pipkins

"Timothy" by the Buoys. The only song I know of about cannibalism. Written by Rupert Holms, of "Pina Colada Song" fame.

Ah yes, Timothy. OF course that brings up other morbid tunes. Bloodrock managed to get this horrid bit to number 36!

That's one of my favorite songs, There are many remakes of the song, but Pearl Jam does the absolute best Version! IMHO

    ...Back on topic...

Has anyone mentioned Mambo #5 back in the late 90's... I think he had a few popular songs, but Mambo Nr 5 was his big hit and shortly thereafter he faded away...

Okay, I'm back and I see some great additions here. The video for Mambo #5 is very hot!

I'm going back to the morbid with Mark Dinning. I still find it hard to believe the dumb chick stepped in front of a train for a class ring!:

Good morbidity but the Shangri-Las were no one hit wonder. They were a Phil Spector group and he was known for squeezing more from his girl groups than anyone would imagine. My favorite Shangri-Las song even made it onto the Goodfellas soundtrack. I'm sure everyone remembers:

Thia does make me think of a whole bunch of girl group one hit wonders but here's one from Jim Carroll that probably has the highest body count of any song ever:
