I used to like to grow my beard for a few weeks and then give myself funny facial hair for a few days. Here are two examples that fit in this thread. You can see why I don't regularly wear a mustache - they look terrible on me.

Just a goatee, and usually the sideburns gradually creep down after the last haircut. I've tried a mustache by itself--always looked awful in the past, don't expect anything has changed.
