You were ignorant of the word pandemic, that is not an insult, I was ignorant of it at some point or another. Lighten up.

I wasn't at all upset by your calling me ignorant. I believe I am extremely ignorant. I abhor my ignorance but I am not ashamed of it. I keep my mind open in a constant battle against my ignorance.

Just to clarify an insignificant point. I never said I didn't know what pandemic meant. I said the word "epidemic" was used to describe a rapidly spreading illness. Then one day a few years ago, epidemic fell off the lexicon and was replaced by "pandemic". My point was actually that "pandemic" is a much more sensational word and for the fear mongering media, sensationalism is where it's at.

It is more sensationalist, but it is debateably more relevant as well. With the ease of international travel, it would take a quite a remote epidemic to not affect any one who travels, or has contact with someone who travels, internationally.

The 6 degrees of seperation and all that.

The only global event the media got right was the 'credit crunch' and that was only because they exacerbated the situation.

You see it's all very simple.

There were WMDs in Iraq.
Bush and Rummy had these labs and technology taken (probably by those Blackwater people) to some undisclosed location (Israel?)
There they developed the Swine Flu.
Meanwhile back in the US.........
Rummy and his buddies at Gilead Sciences were developing a drug to combat this new flu.
It was simplified because they had developed the flu too.

Bush gets out, releases the flu...... BAM !
Rich baby !!!
Plus it gets blamed on Obama, who Bush likes even less than Mexicans.

Also, did anyone notice how this was timed to cover up the torture memo release?
