    There was a claim some time ago (the 80s?) that there were more people alive, than had previously lived and died throughout all of mankind's existence. I'm not sure if it was true, but it was probably not far off. It's quite a mind-boggling fact to ponder. One thing's for sure. You can't have mankind's population continue to grow exponentially, something has to give. Either we'll have (more) starvation or wars or something else to limit us. Self-control sure isn't doing the job!

    Overpopulation is a problem, for sure. However methods to CONTROL population are even worse, they simply do not work.

    I am a great believer in the idea that people should be left to it, and events will occur that wipe people out. That's how it's meant to be.

    It isn't guess work, it's a plain, simple illustration of exponential growth. All exponential growth looks like that with appropriate scaling.

    Overpopuplation is a myth. And that's coming from someone in per square km the most populated country in the world.
