Need help finding a good protein
I have tried MHP, GNC, ONs, BSN, and Muscle Milk.
I have had good success with MHP. GNC was crap, ONs used to do the job, BSN did not do a thing, although the NoXplode worked ok until my body got used to it, and Muscle Milk was just too much, too sweet, too thick, to hard on the gut.
If I can't find a substitute I will probably go back to MHP. I was just wondering if anyone else has had any luck with anything else.
I am not a body builder. I am a runner and backpacker. So I use the protein as a lactic acid buffer and rebuilder or muscle sustainer.

I recommend JustProtein by IronMind. it tastes less horrible than other kinds, and is effective. it's caecin base and not whey.

Brad Kings Ultimate Protein is the best stuff i have found so far. the High Alpha is probably what you are looking for, though the Iso Energy is great too.
Genuine Health also makes a Proteins + that was actually developed but Brad King before he formulated his own product. great protein also, plus it has digestive enzymes in it.
Genuine Health also makes a Vegan Proteins Plus and though i am not a Vegan it is a great protein supplement to cycle in between Whey proteins and has a great amino acid blend like the Whey proteins.
all three have no artificial sweeteners, taste great and are very easily digested. another great source for protein is Hemp seeds. they have all the amino acids that you need to go with the protein plus some good fat that is easily digested. best time to take them is in the morning as they do boost your energy. i actually have a bunch of runners that buy hemp seeds from me and really like them. you can at them with anything too.
hope that helps

You know that noxplode isn't protein, right? Also, just follow the instructions to get your body off of it. If I recall correctly, you just take a few weeks off.

I know the NoXplode is not protien, but it helped get me through a rough training patch. It just did not really work after about the first week.
I'll look into those suggestions.

Thanked: 171The ON is kind of the standard go to for most guys. I've had great luck with it. Both the whey and casein.
Muscle milk isn't that great as far as proteins go. It tastes great but it's pretty high in fat. People argue back and forth about whether or not it's "good" fat.
I also really don't like the GNC stuff at all.
I do like the BSN syntha 6 quite a bit for a blend. Their strawberry is unbelievably delicious.
If you want to start getting into really good stuff you can look into beverly muscle provider, ergopharm gf pro, and even syntrax nectar is pretty high quality.
But really, the ON is all you need IMO. I like the chocolate supreme for casein and the cookies and cream for whey.
With regard to the xplode, I had decent results with it, but if you want to step it up, try vpx shotgun for your next cycle. Wayyy better, IMO. You might also try Universal Animal Pump. Better than xplode, but for me, not as good as shotgun.
And make sure you order online. The prices at GNC are just ridiculous, even with the gold card discounts. A great place to get your goods and info is bodybuilding.com. They have a great huge forum with tons of good advice and the customer service at their store is amazing. Super fast shipping that won't break the bank, and good prices.

After learning about what these processed items do to the body
I now stick with eggs, pork, and other natural sources. From good sources. Being a cook learning about where food comes from, really comes from, I find that the less things have been ripped apart and put back together in unnatural combos, the better. Many of todays "problems with diet" are comming from just this kind of thing.
